Emergency Seatbelt Cut'r ®

Protects The Rescue Worker And The Trauma Victim From Accidental Cuts

actual  size

The Emergency Seatbelt Cut'r ® is a multi purpose rescue tool that is designed to speed the cutting of seatbelt webbing, clothing & plastic bags safely, while protecting both rescue worker and patient.

Car crashes can jam seatbelt buckles. Seatbelt restraint webbing can interfere with roof removal, entangle accident victims on the extrication scene and risk further injury. Trauma patients may need clothing removal so life saving measures can be applied. Scissors can accidentally cut victims or personnel - risking exposure to deadly blood viruses. Gloved hands can make it difficult or impossible to open safety sealed bags that contain medically sterilized products. Delays can cost lives.

To use the Emergency Seatbelt Cut'r ®  - simply hold the lead edge of the webbing with your left hand, insert about 1/4 to 1/2 inch to the right of your hold point and pull towards yourself. Cutting starts instantly. For cutting clothing use the same technique. Start at the collar or waist and cut towards the extremities to accomplish quick removal of clothing.
